~ Glin, County Limerick, Ireland ~

I got to spend time with my hubby and two adult kids in Ireland! One day, we were all doing our own thing and I decided to go for a hike. This one looked good and did not disappoint!

The path wandered through fields and meadows. The way gradually climbed up a hill through a forest to provide stunning views of the hills and valleys surrounding the Shannon Estuary. The photo above is “The Racing Field” so named because in the olden days it was the site for lots of competitions.

There was an ancient ruined fort, a gorgeous breeze, occasional sun and trees! So many trees! One of the paths led through “The Fairy Wood”, pictured to the side. Amazing. What a wonderful hike!
